I'm thinking about making my own cloth menstrual pads. Can you give some useful advice from things you've learned making your own?  Thanks.

Hi ladies - I am going to try sewing some mama cloth for myself to try.  This will be my first experience with mama pads.

I've sewn since I was a child but had a couple ?'s

PUL - I know that this should be sewn with a ball point needle - however, if you're sewing it as a hidden layer in mama cloth pads do you still sew it with a ball point needle?

Ugh!  Help!  I'm not sure what I am doing wrong, but I cannot sew a nicely rounded corner tonight to save my life!  And since I'm doing a pad in the T&T method, it's really obvious, especially where I didn't sew the corners well before I turned it back out to topstitch.  This is particularly a problem with the tips of the pad's wings - ironically, ( Read more... )
